SEARCA set to join MS FSCC workshop in Bangkok

Dr. Gil C. Saguiguit, Jr., SEARCA Director, and Dr. Maria Cristeta N. Cuaresma, Program Head for Graduate Education and Institutional Development, will be joining representatives of other partners in a workshop to develop a Joint Master of Science in Food Security and Climate Change (MS FSCC). The workshop will be hosted by Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand on 14 – 16 February 2017.

The MS FSCC project is an initiative of the Southeast Asian University Consortium for Graduate Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC), and is partially funded by the ERASMUS + Capacity Building for Higher Education Program of the European Union. It is co-managed by Kasetsart University (KU) and SEARCA.

The MS FSCC has 14 partner universities, namely: Kasetsart University, Chiang Mai University and Prince of Songkla University in Thailand; Institut Pertanian Bogor and Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia; Universiti Putra Malaysia and Nilai University in Malaysia; University of the Philippines Los Baños and Central Luzon State University in the Philippines; Royal University of Agriculture and University of Battambang in Cambodia; Montpellier SupAgro in France; University of Göttingen in Germany; and University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) in Austria. SEARCA, IAVFF-Agreenium, and AGRINATURA are the non-university partners in the project. (Maria Cristeta N. Cuaresma)
