Progress of Climate Research in the Philippines: State of Knowledge from Series of Climate Conferences

It is evident that the Philippines is bearing the brunt of climate change, making it crucial to adapt at a pace comparable with the increasing impacts of the changing climate. Recognizing the value of research and science in drawing long-term and sustainable solutions to climate change issues, the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) - Philippines holds an annual national climate conference to discuss the climate knowledge in the country and determine the gaps in climate-related research and policies. As a key partner of NAST and main sponsor of the last three conferences, the Oscar M. Lopez Center for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Foundation, Inc. (Oscar M. Lopez Center) is pleased to produce this report as contribution to building science in the field of climate change. This is an updated report of the progress of climate research in the Philippines through the assessment of the submitted researches and scientific papers to NAST for the annual climate conferences.
