Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has instructed the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning to revise the national climate change plan following criticism of the plan. Mr. Abhisit would like to see all stakeholders, from both the public and private sectors, take part in a redrafting of the plan to tackle climate change, said Nirawan Pipitsombat, acting chief of Onep's climate change coordinator office.

Award winning production group th1ng has directed and produced a short online film for Oxfam to raise awareness of its global work to help poor communities cope with climate change. The film shows how climate change affects people's daily lives and how simple and innovative solutions can help communities around the world to cope with the effects of climate change.

th1ng directors Alon Ziv and Shay Hamias worked directly with Oxfam to develop the script and bring ideas to life, and closely collaborated during the creative process. The result is an animated execution created in a uniquely organic style. The composition strongly draws on a handmade effect with its texture feeling earthy and a slightly crude design.

With La Nina bringing in colder than normal temps, the country’s US$80 million orchid industry is feeling the chills

At Excel Orchid Farm in Ratchaburi province, one of the largest orchid nurseries in Thailand, Piyada Sanguthai says global warming and climate change is already having an affect on Thailand's orchid production.

“The changing weather patterns are pushing the crops out of their ideal humidity and temperature ranges for optimal growth and also resulting in an increase in crop-damaging insects. We try and use the minimal amount of pesticide as possible, but the increase in insects has forced us to increase the frequency with which we treat the plants.”
