Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CChAM) Framework Learning Events

Science holds the key to building resilience for sustainable future. An integrated science-based awareness raising, development planning, policymaking and practices strengthen government and institutional efforts for climate change adaptation and disaster management. It also strengthens the capacities of individuals, communities and societies in understanding hazards, in managing associated risks, and in preparing for potential disasters and extreme events.

Now on its sixth year, the conference aims to further enhance the scientific learning ground and practical exchange platform for sharing expertise, practices, and experiences on climate change and disaster actions that will benefit communities, the government, industries, the academe, and other key sectors involved in nation-building. It is a continuing opportunity to pro-actively open up access to climate and disaster data, information and research findings which can be used for well-informed hazard/and or risk-based development planning, policy-making, and in preparing for and managing fufture adverse climate change and disaster impacts.
